After one year with Google AdSense advertisement on my blog I got a CTR of 1,47% and a effective CPM of 2.63 US$ for http://aixpi.com - I earned a total of 23.26 US$. Google doesn’t pay you before you reach 100 US$ so I think this money is somewhat unreachable, they should put a “donate to” option for these amounts so you could at least do something good with this bucks by donating the money e.g to Kiva . Now AIXpi.com will remain free of advertisement in the future.
My colleague Martin got his own blog, finally! He is called Mr. Baseline internally at the company because of he is responsible for the Baseline methodology invented by Zystems. I’m sure that he will come up with a lot of interesting articles about EAI and SOA from a high level point of view.
My friend and collegue Fredrik has recently started a photo-blog where he uses his mobile phone to send pictures directly via e-mail to flickr and flickr posts them to his blog. I like this idea and will try to do something like that from now on on my blog as well, I’m not going to start a new blog for that though instead I’ll just use my old one, the aixpi.com. Maybe I should think about to split the blog into different interests like a blog for work, a blog for the motor interest, a blog for all other stuff and a photo blog. Well that would be way too many blogs for the little I’m blogging anyway so I’ll stay with the one-blog-for -all approach.

The beta version of the new Bloglines site is online now. The new customizable startpage with the drag and drop functionality is really cool, otherwise I think it’s not so many new functionality in this release. The over all look and feel is much more Web 2.0 as in the actual version but that’s just look and feel.

Didn’t realize until now, thanks to Niklas G., that our friend Niklas N. is up with his blog as well now. I guess the blog will be very technical focusing on IBM WebSphere products and Java. Will be interesting to follow, keep the blogging up! Check it out here betaalfa.
I updated my WordPress installation today so if you see something strange let me know.
My friend Petter has posted the link to Snap on his blog and I could not withstand the temptation to give it a try. So please feel free and hover with your mouse pointer over the links on my blog and figure out “Snap”.
As a Bloglines user I gave Google Reader a try and tested it now for 2 months. My positive impressions from the first weeks with the Google Reader turned into a slight frustration about the slow performance of Google Reader compared to Bloglines. In the beginning I was fond of the look and feel of Google Reader but after all I think it’s too “googlish” after all. So my winner is….. Bloglines!
What is the reader of your choice? Or how do you keep track of blogs and news?
My friend and colleague Peter made it possible to have some real cool background pictures on my blog. I was allowed to pick some of his art and use it as backgrounds for the new theme. If you like the backgrounds you should visit his blog or his online portfolio to see more of his photo-art. Thank you Peter!
If you experience some problems with my page right now it could be related to the testing of new themes, hopefully everything will be up and running soon again.
I’m currently testing around with different themes for WordPress but I think “Vistered Little 1.6″ by Nik Iliadis will be my new theme. Currently I have only the default backgrounds activated but sooner or later they will be replaced by some more personalized pictures. Finally the Widget thing is now working as well. The only disturbing thing right now is that the daily post of my del.icio.us links is not in the asides section anymore as in K2, need to fix this later.
