Yesterday it was Memorial Day in the US as every year. Bobby Solomon wrote a post on his Kitsune Noir Blog yesterday which I couldn’t agree more on.
Blogpost on Kitsune Noir about a Memorial Day story
This is one of the real sad stories of life expressed in two photographs.

| Tjolöholm Classic Motor 2008 |
We are looking forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to an exhibition of classic cars that contains all the ingredients to be a success and a pleasurable experience. Tjolöholm Classic Motor Show is one of the largest and most important exhibitions of old vehicles in Sweden. This year’s show is the Fifteenth.
The Tjolöholm Classic Motor Show is a tradition. Or as an Onsala resident said to us: “Spring arrives with the Tjolöholm Classic Motor Show”. For those of us who are now responsible for the project, two things have been important for this year’s exhibition and show: Firstly, we wanted to create the best imaginable conditions for the country.s car and motorcycle enthusiasts to meet up and display their valuable items. Secondly, we wanted to make the event more accessible for a broader and younger audience. We hope that we succeed in fulfilling all expectations and that everyone is able to find something at Tjolöholm Classic Motor Show.
The youngest visitors, the motor enthusiasts of the future, can have fun at the Classic Kids area while Mum, Dad, Grandma or Grandpa enjoy superb cars and other motor vehicles. We bid you and springtime welcome to Tjolöholm on Sunday 25nd May 2008.
I ‘collected’ a lot of hunting trophies on my way up to Stockholm while exceeding speed limits ‘a bit’. I would guess about 10 animals per square inch, more interesting the fact that on the way back to Göteborg, traveling at decent speeds then, where almost no smashed insects at all. That’s the proof - speed kills!
…meanwhile at our parking lot, ‘Helfer der Volkspolizei’ in a Mercedes-Benz, I’ll expect this rather in a Trabant or a Wartburg.
Average consumption 4,6 L / 100 km
Average speed 96,7 km/h
Range with full (~50L) tank: 1181 km
After my trip from Stockholm to Göteborg on the E20 with speeds between 90 KM/H and 110 KM/H at the gas-station the BC showed these values after filling up the tank. I never had such a long range on the display before, OK the driving was boring and legal regarding speed limits - at least the visit at the gas-station was fun due to the journeys efficiency.
