As a Bloglines user I gave Google Reader a try and tested it now for 2 months. My positive impressions from the first weeks with the Google Reader turned into a slight frustration about the slow performance of Google Reader compared to Bloglines. In the beginning I was fond of the look and feel of Google Reader but after all I think it’s too “googlish” after all. So my winner is….. Bloglines!
What is the reader of your choice? Or how do you keep track of blogs and news?
Split frustration. Currently my vote go for Google Reader, but I do agree on performance as well as the lack of a functional mobile interface. On the positive side I find the clean interface and the ease of use. I do stick with Google Reader a bit longer, but who knows……
I’ve tried a bunch of feed readers and my absolute favorite is LiFeRead, which is Linux only. I started using that one after I got fed up with some annoying bugs in FeedReader3 (Windows). The latter was good but sometimes it would just hang, and after hanging sometimes the whole list of subscribed feeds would be last. It might be fixed in later versions but I have a new darling now.
Correction on the above, it’s LiFeRea and not LiFeRead.
